The DDS-60 requires more voltage than USB supplies. The prototype was tested on 8V from a pre-regulator, my plan was to run the PCB from 9V of AA batteries. 12V would generate a lot more heat and is probably not a good idea.

It is hard to speculate, but the software is looking for a moderately high Q antenna to find the edges of the bandwidth, A CB antenna might be lower Q than the search parameters are looking for. Also depending on the groundplane the SWR can be less than wonderful. I would work through the software tests starting with the simpler ones, for example measuring FWD and REF at a fixed frequency, and see if that makes sense.
